The Huckleberry Hound Show (1958)

One of Hanna-Barbera's most beloved characters stands up for law and order in this fast, funny and furryous feature-length animated adventure. It may be the height of the gold rush but all Huckleberry Hound plans to do is settle down at a quaint country farm and raise pigs and goats. But while passing through the small Western town of Two-Bit, California, Huckleberry has his horse stolen by the outlaw Dalton Brothers and he sticks around to win it back in a poker game. After his victory, Huckleberry is on a roll. He is appointed the town's new sheriff, wrestles a chipmunk, proposes marriage to an Indian chief's daughter, disguises himself as a ghost, and if that isn't enough...you might as well just watch the movie. There's more fun in The Good, the Bad and Huckleberry Hound than there is gold in them thar hills!

The Good, the Bad, and Huckleberry Hound is a 1988 animated Western television film produced by Hanna-Barbera for syndication as part of the Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 series. The film parodies various Western films (in a manner akin to Blazing Saddles) and its title is a take-off of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Huckleberry is constantly referred to as a "mysterious, steely-eyed, and silent-type stranger" (though Huck is just being himself), spoofing the Western stock character of the Man with No Name. Several other plot points are lifted from well-known film Westerns, such as High Noon and High Plains Drifter. The setting of the film is 1849 California, during the California Gold Rush.

Sick of children saying "Hey, Mom, hey, Mom. Look at the bears, look at the bears, look at the bears," Yogi Bear decides to bust out of Jellystone Park. He tries to sneak past the park ranger, but all his attempts at escape backfire.

Pixie and Dixie's country cousin comes by for a visit and tries his version of country tricks on Jinks.

Huckleberry Hound apprehends a 350-pound gorilla named Wee Willie who has gotten loose throughout the city.

Pixie and Dixie call upon Judo Jack to teach them how defend themselves against Jinks in the arts of Judo.

Huckleberry Hound must protect his cattle from a rustler in the Old West. The rustler is a tricky one, but so is Huck.

Two bandits are on the run from the law. They find the perfect hideout in Jellystone Park. Of course, they end up in Yogi's cave!

Pixie and Dixie buy a dog for $5 to get Jinks, but the dog is scared of cats. The dog's twin brother then comes to the rescue.

Huckleberry Hound is part of the freeway patrol who strikes fear in the hearts of law breakers.

Dixie wishes to fly like a bird, but his schoolteacher won't allow it. Then Dixie uses his ears like flaps and is able to ascend and float this way. Mr. Jinks goes after Dixie to collect a fortune for a flying mouse, surprising Pixie and especially the schoolteacher.

During bear-hunting season in Jellystone Park, a little hunter with a long white mustache tries to bag a bear, and that bear is Yogi. Yogi must outwit the persistent hunter.

Farmer Huckleberry Hound is losing rows on rows of his corn crop to Iggy and Ziggy, a pair of crafty black birds who manage to outwit Huck at every turn.

Jinks thinks he killed Dixie. Dixie dresses as a ghost to haunt Jinks and get him to obey him. Jinks finds out and plays his own trick.

Yogi sleeps through a long winter nap. He awakens from hibernation to discover that his favorite forest has been turned into a superhighway.

Yogi goes to New York City to visit the married vacationer. Milton must hide Yogi from his wife- she does not like Milton's habit of inviting acquaintances over- so Yogi poses as a bear rug.

Two foxes try various ways to get sheepherder Huck's sheep, but they fail every time.

Dixie attempts to scare Jinks with a Mark of the Mouse costume. Jinks plays along, but then he duels the real Mark of the Mouse.

A hunter shoots down a little duck (Yakky) who runs for cover, and Yogi saves him from the persistent hunter and his dog.

Jinks mixes a formula that shrinks him to mouse size. He fails to get Pixie and Dixie and seeks their help from a chasing dog.

A couple with a little baby arrives for a picnic in Jellystone Park. This time, Yogi forgets all about swiping picnic baskets, for the baby is always leaving his playpen, and going after animals he thinks are cats. Trouble is, each time Yogi rescues the infant, the overprotective parents wrongfully accuse him of trying to harm the child.

Old Man Huckleberry Hound recalls to his nephew how he fought a prankish Indian in the west.

Pixie and Dixie try some hypnotism on Jinks. It all goes wrong when they make Jinks think he's a mouse and he makes himself a train.

Huck makes a new birdhouse for the birds, but crows Iggy and Ziggy moves in. Huck wants them out.

A cat takes Pixie and Dixie away and Jinks begins a fight with him until both of them share the mice.

Yogi steals a ride on a scooter and storms throughout the park out of control as he can't shut it off.

Huck the happy homeowner tries to get rid of a tough little pesky termite.

Pixie and Dixie meet a kangaroo named Ka-Pow, who Jinks mistakes for an oversized mouse. Ka-Pow is soon reclaimed to star on television.

Yogi tries to hide a circus elephant away from the circus guards.

Huckleberry goes up against Ten Pin Pierre for the bowling cup.

Pixie and Dixie try to scare Jinks with ventriloquism, which soon stops working... until it summons a bulldog in the house.

Jellystone Park is invaded by a movie company. It's filming "The Killer Bear From Outer Space." When its lead star walks out, Yogi takes the part.

Huckleberry goes hunting Thanksgiving turkey, accidentally shoots an Indian, and winds up eating knockwurst with the Indian and the turkey!

Jinks gets a cat robot to catch Pixie and Dixie for him. To get even, the mice get a dog robot; in the end, both robots cause chaos.

The jewel thief is caught and the credit goes to Yogi, to the chagrin of Ole Yelp who was the only one not fooled by the thief's disguise.

Big game hunter Huckleberry Hound recalls how he hunted the prankish lion, Leroy.

Pixie and Dixie disguises an escaped lion as a giant poodle, who misleads Jinks to protect his cover.

Yogi and Boo Boo disguise themselves to attend a "fathers and sons" picnic in Jellystone Park.

Huck is a messenger boy who encounters a unruly Dog.

Pixie and Dixie invite Champion Rooster El Puncho in their house, who then gives Jinks a punching fight.

After faking being hypnotized by Ranger Smith, Yogi hypnotizes Boo Boo into thinking he's a bird.

Huck is a brave Pony Express rider who battles Indians throughout his mail route.

Pixie and Dixie discover they have a fairy who speaks with a whistle and she grants them wishes.

Mr. Ranger posts a sign of no bear feeding, so Yogi gets an idea to turn Boo Boo into a toy bear so he can return with some goodies.

Two thieves have stolen a valuable painting and hide in Hokey's cave. Ten months later they try to take the painting from the wolves at gunpoint, until the wolves turn them over to the police.

Firefighter Huck helps a circus owner to recapture a gorilla on the loose.

Jinks gets Pixie and Dixie an insurance policy, for his own personal gain. He tries to get the mice in an accident but runs into one of his own.

Hokey and Ding-A-Ling go to the lion cage at the zoo to try to get the meat from the lion. After several failed attempts, they join up in the wolf cage.

Deputy Huckleberry is told by his sheriff to take Dinky Dalton all the way to Kansas City for a trial, but trouble starts when Dinky escapes from Huck's handcuffs on a train.

Jinks has applied for a job, which unknown to him will have his gravity removed. A monkey keeps Jinks in anti-gravity for a long time.

Hokey convinces a sheep dog to train Ding-A-Ling as a sheep dog to steal a lamb. But the training is hindering Hokey's attempts.

Agent Huckleberry Hound is assigned to deliver a secret-filled briefcase to the country of Rutabaga and is followed around by foreign spies.

Jinks starts up a renting service, where cats can rent Pixie and Dixie. When the business starts to prosper, the mice take over.

Under the pretext of detective work, Hokey and Ding-A-Ling go to The Three Bears' house to acquire their food and beds. But they are met with the burglar Lightfingers Louie.

Huckleberry Hound leaves his prehistoric cave in search of dinosaur meat for his hungry prehistoric dog, so he sets his sights on a big dinosaur. Unfortunately for Caveman Huck, the dinosaur has other plans.

When Jinks' old pal Howard visits, the two begin having fun with Pixie and Dixie, who take it upon themselves to convince Jinks that Howard brings bad luck (since Howard is a black cat).

Bullfighter Huckleberry Hound never looked handsomer than at the moment he entered the ring. Outfought and outwitted by his opponent in the Plaza do Toros, Senor Huckleberry decides that the bull has never attended bullfighting school.

An Indian mouse named Tabu meets Pixie and Dixie and demonstrates some magic on Jinks. Tabu leaves a few magic tricks behind as he departs.

Prince Charming hires Hokey and Ding-A-Ling as detectives to track down Cinderella. He overlooks her and tangles with her two stepsisters before giving her the glass sneaker.

Ben Huck took a beating from the Mad Barbarian. It was so bad Ben hid disguised as a statue in Rome. A travel narrator who discovers his secret, is sworn by Huckleberry to silence because the Mad Barbarian is still searching for him.

Jinks builds a robot mouse dame to get Pixie and Dixie to squabble over her affection. When they see through the trick, they use the robot mouse against Jinks.

The young "Injun" Hiawatha hunts down Hokey and eventually brings him back to his tribe. Hokey then attracts the attention of more young "Injuns."

While Gendarme Huck is on patrol in Paris, Powerful Pierre robs a bank.

Jinks receives a magic kit. With it, he makes Pixie and Dixie disappear. The mice aided by a bulldog to get even with him.

Huckleberry Hound is the ruler of Alkatrash Prison, which no man has ever escaped. Nowhere outside of the walls will the inmates find the luxuries he provides. There’s a waiting list to enjoy the food, the swimming pool and the theater inside.

Jinks tries to dispose of Pixie and Dixie in a balloon. The mice are tailed by the air force and broadcast on television.

After falling for one of Hokey's tricks, Farmer Smith hires a professional hunter and his hunting dog to capture Hokey alive. Sure enough, there's no escape from the hunter.

Nobody has been able to sell brushes to the householders of the 13th district. The company’s top sales genius, Huckleberry Hound, is sent out to the terrible 13th.

After another failed attempt at wooing Juliet, Romeo sends for Hokey to reclaim his love. He succeeds, but ends up empty-handed.

Billionaire J.B. Goldstone gives Hokey and Ding-A-Ling a large sum of money. Unfortunately, Hokey misses his opportunity and tries to get the money the hard way, all for nothing.

Hokey and Ding-A-Ling apply for a watchdog job at Mula Manor. When a burglar robs the place, the wolves get the blame until Hokey clears the matter up.

Hokey and Ding-A-Ling try to barge into a hotel, but the hotel detective won't allow them around. Later, the police force them to leave.

The Animal Hospital has had enough of Hokey's freeloading under a false pretense of sickness. Hokey manages to trick them again, but this time an operation is in store for him.

Hokey and Ding-A-Ling disguise themselves as genies to fool Farmer Jones into giving them food. Jones soon discovers their game and also learns that the lamp really has a genie.

Hokey accidentally grows a giant beanstalk. Up the beanstalk, they enter a castle inhabited by a nice giant and his dog. Of course the wolves run and chop down the beanstalk.
