When Michael has to head home for Christmas, Stella throws herself into work on the hospital's children's ward.

The first Christmas without Rob Morgan is proving tough on Luke who is keeping his feelings bottled up. Nadine returns to Pontyberry intent of reconciling with Karl. A representative from Pontyberry's twin town arrives and ends up staying with Auntie Brenda. Stella gives birth to a baby girl whom she and Michael name Holly. Karl tells Nadine that although they will remain friends he can no longer trust her following her affair with Ivan and they part company.

Stella is fed up with her appearance. Attempting to glam herself up, she has a bit of fun in daughter Emma's bedroom, trying on her clothes and playing with make-up. But the fun comes to an abrupt halt when she makes a startling discovery.

Stella ends up reacting badly to Emma's news, which causes a rift between them.

After a local legend called 'Dick the Kick' passes away, Stella attempts to help Paula throw the funeral of the century for him.

Stella is pleased when her eldest son, Luke, returns home. Before long though he's in with the wrong crowd, leading to tensions with Sean.

Stella starts a fitness drive in the build-up to her date with Sean. After Dai goes missing though she is soon distracted. There is a surprise for Luke.

While Stella looks like the cat that got the cream following her night with Sean, Emma hears a worrying rumour about Sunil. Luke has something on his mind too.
