The Coach (2025)

Mehmet heads to İstanbul after his delusional aunt, mistaking him for her brother, urges him to find his daughter. As buried truths begin to surface, a girls’ volleyball team at an İstanbul high school prepares for their long-awaited return to the court.

As Mehmet recruits students for the team, he continues to question the truth about his parents. His growing bond with Gülse, the school counselor, in his effort to get to know the students, begins to unsettle Coach Selim.

While Mehmet tries to access the students’ blood types to continue his little investigation, he also works to motivate the volleyball team for the tough match ahead.

Using information from a friend, Mehmet narrows down his investigation. The team, whose future depends on their upcoming exam results and Principal Şükran’s decision, begins their preparations.

Defne steps in as assistant coach, driving the team to push harder than ever. Meanwhile, Mehmet races to recruit new players while digging deeper into his investigation.

Melis agrees to join the team—but only if she secures an athletic scholarship. Back from İzmir, Gülse invites Mehmet to dinner. Meanwhile, Neriman’s curiosity is sparked by Mehmet’s notebook.

Mehmet hunts for ways to push two players to hit the books for their literature exam. Melis, the team’s eldest, boldly stakes her claim as captain. Meanwhile, Selim keeps plotting to get Mehmet kicked out of school.

News of a scholarship draws a flood of seniors to the team, pushing younger players to the sidelines in fear. Seeing the chaos, Gülse urgently offers Mehmet a deal to return as the team’s coach.

Mehmet is shocked to uncover the answer he’s been chasing. Fueled by growing tension, the football and volleyball teams gear up for one final showdown.
