Meow Ears Up! (2022)

Tumtem, a manga artist who prefers solitude and devotes himself to his work, finds an abandoned cat during a thunderstorm and brings it home. While preparing food for it, the power suddenly goes out—and in the next moment, a boy with cat ears appears before him. Confused but concerned, Tumtem decides to take care of the boy, named Meow, until his owner is found. As no one comes forward, Tumtem begins seeking advice at an animal clinic while pondering what to do next.

Now living together, Tumtem juggles deadlines while Meow craves his attention. One sunny day, they go out for a change of pace—shopping and enjoying swan boats. As they play like children, Meow’s boundless curiosity causes them to get separated at a fish market. When Tumtem finally finds Meow again, a new feeling begins to grow in his heart.

A flyer Tumtem posted helps Meow reunite with his brother, Faiyen, and leads to a shocking truth about their “ears.” Though Meow must return to someone familiar, Tumtem is left conflicted. They decide to create one last memory together with a trip to the sea. Meanwhile, Faiyen has a surprising encounter at university…

Tumtem heads to Bangkok for a seminar by a mentor he admires, bringing Meow along. He cuts his long hair for a fresh start—an image change that disappoints Meow, who mistook the hair as a tail. At the same time, Jin's publishing company welcomes a new, clumsy but earnest employee, whom Jin can’t help but support.

While staying at a hotel in Bangkok, Tumtem and Meow meet Porsh, a popular and charming actor. Tumtem is jealous of Porsh’s closeness with Meow, but it turns out they’ve known each other since childhood. Porsh offers to take care of Meow while Tumtem is at the seminar. Meanwhile, Faiyen unexpectedly begins living with Ivan…

Thanks to a hotel voucher from Porsh, Tumtem and Meow go on a trip. Though unexpected trouble arises, Tumtem’s feelings for Meow only deepen. Meanwhile, Jin is devastated by the passing of her beloved dog Juzy. Friends, including Tumtem, gather to comfort her—when a shocking secret about Manee comes to light. Coincidentally (or not), Faiyen moves into the same apartment building as Tumtem.

On Christmas Eve, Tumtem—always alone during the holidays—feels nervous about spending it with someone for the first time. He sneaks out to buy a gift for Meow. Meanwhile, Faiyen plans a surprise party for Ivan, who can’t return to his home country for Christmas. Jin ends up working overtime despite the holiday… and finds a surprise waiting for her.

As New Year approaches, Tumtem visits the orphanage where he was raised to see Mother Noi. Overwhelmed by painful memories, he sinks into loneliness. While talking with Mother Noi, Meow remembers a crucial fact—one that could deeply affect his bond with Tumtem. Faiyen, Ivan, and Manee also gather at the orphanage to welcome the new year. What will everyone wish for under the falling stars by the sea?
