Unsure how he got there, he takes a closer look around and meets Sarah, a ghost, she clues him in to the world of the dead. Sarah tutors Zach on ghost rules and warns him about the dark spirit he saw in the alleyway and sends Zach to attend his wake where he gets schooled by Sam, the spirit of a dead rapper whose wake is happening in the same funeral parlor. Danny's presence at the wake infuriates Zach, who unleashes some ghostly energy on the living. The spirit world is definitely getting stronger as Zach wreaks havoc on unsuspecting Danny. Danny can’t escape his living nightmare while Zach interrogates him in his dreams. Zach and Danny face their demons and each other.

The ghost of chef who died in a fire at a Chinese restaurant meets Melinda after the restaurant he died in burns for a second time. He demands that Melinda go out and find the person that really set the fire he was blamed for.

When Melinda meets a nightclub waiter who has not played his guitar since his friend died, she finds that he is being haunted by two ghosts.

A high school baseball pitcher Justin finds that he is haunted by the former baseball star pitcher. The ghost is out for revenge on the coach who he blames for his death.

While Lisa, his wife is in a legal battle against his parents to take him off of the life support. Meanwhile Delia struggles with teaching Ned about closure while also finding closure for herself.

Melinda finds that she must stop a ghost who doesn't want to be reincarnated again. Melinda finds out that someone knows her secret. Delia has second thoughts about dinner date.

Melinda's Jeep breaks down on a deserted road and a young woman who owns an auto shop comes by to help. Melinda meets a ghost who comes to her in the form of a skeleton. Melinda must first decipher the mysterious code that is linked to the drag racing society. Melinda finds that Ned is involved with the society and needs his help. Ned lies to his mom and sneaks out to go to the drag races. At the end the ghost finds closure and crosses over into the light.

Melinda gives a speech on her career at Grandview High. While she’s at the school she sees a group of cheerleaders who are having some mean and vicious things happening to them just as their cheerleading semi-finals are approaching in just a few days. Melinda discovers that the dead cheerleader can’t cross over and someone else has been casting spells on the squad.

Melinda accompanies Delia to the local jewelry store so she can get her newly refurbished engagement ring. An armed robbery occurs while they are in the jewelers. Later, the ghost of jewelry salesman visits Melinda and she must help him make things right again.

A body goes missing from the morgue and Melinda searches for the body. When the ghost visits Melinda she finds she needs help from Professor Payne to figure it out.

Melinda and Jim become foster parents temporarily for a young girl whose mother is missing. The ghost of the mother comes to Melinda and tells her where Melinda can find her body. The mother confesses a secret to Melinda and Melinda and Jim set out to help the little girl.

Melinda helps Ned deal with a ghost who had just put a scare into him. Melinda also helps a ghost who appears to without any clothes on. Delia sees that Melinda is once again talking to herself and Melinda decides it’s time to share her gift with Delia.

Melinda meets a man who has the same abilities to see and talk to the dead. Melinda later learns that he has a different plan for the dead. A ghost enlists Professor Payne to help Melinda.

Jennifer goes to Melinda’s store to sell some belongings that came from her deceased parent’s house. Melinda then helps Jennifer with her father who died when she was only a toddler. Someone takes photos of Melinda and they show something suspicious. Melinda finds that she has a hidden connection to Grandview while digging into her family's past.

Melinda helps a group of college girls after one of their friends dies and begins to haunt them. Melinda must get Rachel to believe she is not Bloody Mary.

Melinda helps an Iraq war veteran deal with the ghosts that he has brought back with him.

Melinda's life is in danger when she tries to help the victim of a stalker.

Gabriel returns to Grandview and Melinda learns more about what is lurking below.

Melinda and Professor Payne meet with another college professor who discloses that she had an affair with a student. That student just passed away after an accident.

Melinda and Jim discuss a kidnapping where the family has contacted a psychic who Melinda believes is telling the family stuff that they want to hear just so he can make money off of them. Melinda goes and talks to the family and finds that something else has happened to the missing girl.

Melinda becomes involved with a couple of ghosts who refuse to cross over after she finds that they are causing trouble for another couple. The ghosts make Melinda play a game of twenty questions.

While Melinda and Jim are taking care of Becca, Melinda finds that Becca can also see the dead.

Melinda is at the house of young boy named Riley and as they're hanging Christmas ornaments on the tree, Melinda tries to get him to open up about the strange things he has seen.

Melinda helps Ned at his new high were there are several different hauntings. In the process Melinda finds that she is investigating the intricate world of gossip and romance within the high school before she uncovers the reasons for the hauntings.

Carl stops by the house to give her the little bit of information he collected on her father and something strange happens to him while he talks to Melinda.
